The event Prête.s pour le Plan d'action 2035 d'Hydro-Québec, organized in collaboration with the AIEQ, gave us the opportunity to present our corporate vision and provide more information on the major projects Hydro-Québec will be carrying out in the coming years. It was also a unique opportunity to answer questions and exchange views with players in the electricity industry. Together, we talked about the needs, expectations, challenges and solutions to be put in place to make a success of the energy transition: a major societal project that will enable us to decarbonize our activities while creating wealth in Quebec.

The training session on ESG principles in the supply chain, offered by the AIEQ, enabled me to present which environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria are integrated into the various management practices and decision-making mechanisms at Hydro-Québec. For example, several ESG criteria are taken into account in the selection process for our partners and suppliers, in order to encourage local purchasing in compliance with our regulations.
We are convinced that the adoption of ESG criteria is an important lever for the growth and success of our projects, and we see the benefits of sharing our best practices as an inspiration to other organizations.

As part of the event on renewable energies in Canada, I had the opportunity to discuss the roadmap to net zero emissions with Gilbert Bennet and Michel Archambault. I would like to thank the AIEQ for this invitation, and would like to emphasize that the event as a whole was a great opportunity to learn more about Canada's goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.

We would like to thank the AIEQ and STIQ for the AIEQ-PASQÉ Plant Management Award, presented to Soucy Baron at the Gala des Mérites STIQ 2024. We are very proud of this recognition, as it highlights the remarkable work of our teams and ultimately promotes the maintenance of sound management of our plant.
Soucy Baron strives for excellence with its customers and in its internal processes. The results of STIQ's analyses contribute to our strategic thinking and help us keep abreast of best practices.

Bravo to the AIEQ for carrying out a diagnostic study of the state of innovation within the Quebec electrical industry. This wide-ranging analysis has shown us that, to ensure the commercial success of our innovations, we need to rely on greater coordination of the efforts of all the players in our ecosystem. I'm convinced that the AIEQ can be a catalyst in realizing this strategy, resulting from a strong commitment to innovation on the part of all!

We would like to express our deep gratitude to the AIEQ for the opportunity to share, at your Forum, projects integrating artificial intelligence in the electrical field. The rapid evolution of AI in your industry is undeniable, and promises to intensify in the years to come. As an interdisciplinary and cross-sector consortium dedicated to AI research, training and knowledge mobilization, IVADO aspires to forge strategic partnerships with key players in the electrical ecosystem to develop innovative digital solutions. The Forum was an exceptional platform for showcasing our expertise and encouraging fruitful collaborations.

What a great initiative on the part of the AIEQ to organize this forum on the digital transformation of energy systems. This event identifies growth opportunities for the Quebec electrical industry, capitalizing on booming sectors and continuing to transform. Focusing on AI and generative AI, in its mission to make buildings smarter, greener and more efficient, BrainBox AI is contributing to the development of Quebec's expertise as a leader in this field.

With the energy transition underway, and the numerous business links between companies in Quebec and France, Business France is delighted with its collaboration with the Association de l'Industrie électrique du Québec. A number of activities were held this year, including your Association's welcoming to Quebec of a delegation of companies and clusters from the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region! The first stop on this trade mission was the AIEQ offices. Many thanks to AIEQ for this warm welcome!
