AIEQ unveils the first recipients of Pasqé and Diagnostics STIQ financial assistance

May 18, 2023 - In conjunction with its conference on renewable energies in Canada, the Association de l'industrie électrique du Québec (AIEQ) today announced the first PASQÉ (Plateforme d'approvisionnement stratégique québécois en électricité) recipients. In all, 28 companies submitted 35 improvement projects, and 8 projects were approved for financial assistance, including those from CNC Solstice, Electro Composites, EMSPEC, Gentec and MEL, electronic solutions. In addition to the PASQÉ funding awarded (up to $375,000 - for a maximum of 60% of total eligible project costs), 20 companies benefited from a free diagnoSTIQ. Analysis of the files also led to the identification of 2 promising projects with Investissement Québec.

The PASQÉ initiative was made possible thanks to $5 million in financial assistance from the Ministère de l'Économie, de l'Innovation et de l'Énergie, as well as the support and participation of Investissement Québec and Hydro-Québec.

"The PASQÉ initiative aims to support suppliers in developing a responsible supply chain for Quebec's electrical industry, by focusing on productivity and innovation. Not only did we achieve our objective, but the results exceeded all our expectations! The manufacturers in our ecosystem responded in large numbers to this great opportunity to increase their manufacturing output by presenting a project that led to the import substitution of products with high growth potential for Quebec. The entire supply chain of the electrical ecosystem will benefit from this, since these projects will increase the Quebec content of major contractors", explained Marie Lapointe, CEO of the AIEQ.

PASQÉ offers financial support and strategic advice to companies interested in diversifying their offer and deploying their capacity to serve the needs of public and private clients in Quebec's electrical industry. Its aim is to increase the competitiveness of Quebec suppliers to the electrical industry, thereby securing the supply chain and strengthening the local industrial fabric.

The next PASQÉ call for interest will be issued shortly. If you'd like to be kept informed, join the AIEQ mailing list.
When the call for interest opens, all you have to do is fill in an online questionnaire and describe your project.
