La Presse today presents the results of the Manufacturiers exportateurs du Québec's energy survey, carried out in collaboration with theAQCIE. Over 35% of Quebec manufacturers say they are short of energy, directly impacting their investment and expansion plans, with 73% having to postpone investments already planned.

Manufacturers, already committed to reducing their environmental impact, face significant challenges linked to the predictability of access and the cost of energy.

The emerging energy debate represents a once-in-a-generation opportunity to position Quebec on the road to prosperity. Manufacturers are resolutely committed to reducing their environmental footprint, cutting emissions and being part of the solution.

Recent consultations by Hydro-Québec and Minister Pierre Fitzgibbon demonstrate the seriousness of the current approach.
